The Island of Guam

April 1, 2010 by Jim   Comments (1)

On Thursday Rep. Hank Johnson of the 4th district of Georgia ( Atlanta) was qestioning an Admiral about placing 5000 U.S. Marines on the island of Guam. He stated to the Admiral that his " greatest fear" was that that placing the Marines on the island would cause the island to become "overly populated" and cause it to (and I quote) "tip over and capsize".

I laughed until I cried. We're paying this moron $174k/yr. No wonder this country is in the shape it's in. You've got to hear the audio; it is hilarious! The Admiral responded, after a brief pause, that he did not anticipte that. I would love to hear what the Admiral told his wife when he got home.

This is confirmed. It is not an April fools joke. It was in the L.A. Times and The Atlanta Journal/ Constitution. The video is on youtube; check it out!

I hear ya, brother. He qualified the rediculous statement by saying he was afraid that it would over load the island nations 'natural resources'. If you've ever served, or visited, you know that they don't survive on that island, or any such island, such as Hawaii, Maui, Oahu, Malikai, Kwajalein you name it, without shipping in every thing they need... and shipping out everything else... including refuse.
